Text description provided by the architects. This project concerns the interior of a traditional shaving salon, housed in a 19th-century shop in the city center of Amsterdam.
For a raw, but warm atmosphere, mainly natural materials are used: a floor of old sawn floor beams, clay plaster, pine plates, leather and concrete.
The copper pipes, which like a giant cobweb are drawn throughout the interior, form the eyecatcher of the salon.
